Bill Nojima, -Chiropractor, treats neck and low back pain, headaches, numbness, tingling, ,and had his slide show about disc problems and sprained backs. He literally showed us how herniated discs end up oozing their inside jelly by slamming his wand on his many homemade jelly donuts he put on each table. Bill’s full service office in Culver City is equipped with spinal decompression equipment that ultimately helps prevent spinal surgeries.
Aubrey Waite - Pools Service, showed slides of various sanitation methods used for pools including the older Chlorine Tablets. He recommended keeping your pool clean at all times and using the most effective method to prevent mechanical portions from replacement and malfunctioning. Liquid chlorine is the fastest and most common process used at this time but it does get weaker over time. Others are: Salt Systems which can create corrosion and disrupt the heater and Oxonator, a more sensitive system which is becoming more cost effective.
Tim Guille – Music Teacher, talked about Music education and his successful methods empowering his students. He had Sam, a young student who signed up with some initial challenges, sang and perform a beautiful song for us. Sam who started with piano, base guitar and voice lessons, is now a performer. Tim’s company in business for 7 years, has 17 staff members who ended up teaching 5000 lessons in students’ homes last year.
Sigmund Thomas, Pest Control and our Tipmaster, spoke about how tips are not a form of communication but a way for us to make money. He asked us all to be more prudent in our tipping practices and not to substitute future potential promises as tips to each other.
